Food for dad

Father’s Day is finally tomorrow, and apart from getting little presents here and there, I wanted to do something special.

See, I like food, and I have a mini obsession with buying kitchen tools that I’ll never use;  however, as contradicting it may sound: I don’t like cooking.

I avoid the kitchen at all costs, so people have bypassed me as a cooking potential in my household. Due to my disappearance from the kitchen, I want to impress everyone (especially dad) and cook for the family on this special day.

When trying to impress your family with your “cooking skills” it is also important to to impress them with the overall atmosphere of the occasion. Apart from loads of alcohol, I ventured out and got a hold of YHY Scallop Porcelain Plate Sets.

The first thing I loved about these plates was the affordable price point. I wanted to get cute and elegant plates for the occasion, but at the same time, I didn’t want to break my pocket (I got these all under $33 dollars).

I also liked that there is some slight weight to these plates (I didn’t want something too flimsy or too heavy). The scallop design is actually very pretty, and the borders of the plates are very smooth and easy to slide my fingers through (some plates at this price point  tend to have very rough or uneven edges). The overall looks of the plate is great, and there’s no imperfection or random dried paint drops (yep, been there seen that). One last thing that I really liked was how very well packaged these were: these come wrapped in very good quality materials to avoid chipping during the shipping process.

Now, the last thing on my list is figuring out the fine details on my cooking success tomorrow!
